Who We Are
In Banglaesh, I am an Architect and Urban designer. As an academic, I hold a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), MA in Urban Design form Cardiff University (UK) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh. I also completed a Graduate course on “Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development” in the international Summer School, University of Oslo and a training course on “WMO Urban Meteorology, Environment and Climate Services” from the University of Reading, Gelang Patah, Malaysia. I am a candidate member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh and a licentiate of Royal Town Planning institute (RTPI), UK.
I taught architecture at undergraduate level at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). I am also a part time teacher of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Jahangirnagar University and Department of Architecture at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Professionally I have 15 years of Experience in Urban Design and Architecture in United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh. I worked for Dorsch Gruppe DC Abu Dhabi, UAE as a Design Architect and Urban Designer. I also worked for Ministry of Public works, Dubai, UAE as an Urban Planner to prepare master planning and detail housing design for the National housing program of UAE which are in now construction phase.

I also worked as an Urban Designer at the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in a project called City Region Development Project (CRDP), which is funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB). There I designed 35 urban centres in Dhaka and Khulna division of Bangladesh where local community of each urban centres were engaged in the design process.I have profound knowledge in Building Energy Modelling (BEM), Fire Dynamic Simulation and Urban Microclimatic Simulation. I always integrate simulation method in my design to test the new design ideas. In my design process, I follow the principles of Ecological Urban Design to create Urban areas in the fast-growing regions of the world, which will be able to adapt with the changing climate besides ensuring clean and healthy environment.
